Dr. Cora Schwarz, born 1966, is a pharmacist and holds a doctorate in pharmaceutical technology from Freie Universität Berlin in Germany. She is also a qualified coach with a MA in coaching, consulting & education with a minor in psychology.

Dr. Cora Schwarz advises multinational as well as medium-sized and start-up companies in the life sciences sector, mainly in Switzerland and Germany.

She has a distinguished 30 years career in key positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry embracing Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement, Health Economics, Governmental, Medical & Regulatory Affairs, in Germany, Switzerland and New Zealand.

In 2012 Dr. Cora Schwarz founded Medicora GmbH, a consulting company specialized in Market Access, Pricing & Reimbursement and Health Economics Projects and in Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs Services.

Her main focus is on Swiss and international pricing & reimbursement procedures for therapeutic pharmaceutical products. Another focus is her medical expertise in a broad range of therapeutic areas including orphan and ultra-orphan drugs.

Regulatory issues relating to human medicines and medical devices, nutritional supplements, cosmetic products,  phytopharmaceuticals are further focal points of her work.

In her career, Dr. Cora Schwarz has held several management positions as Head of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance, Head of Medical & Regulatory Affairs and Head of Market Access & Governmental Affairs in big multinational pharmaceutical companies.

In 2002, during her three years International Assignment with Novartis, she was appointed as a guest lecturer in Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Since the foundation of her own consultancy company in 2012, Dr. Cora Schwarz has taken on numerous assignments as interim Head of Market Access & Governmental Affairs, Head of Medical & Regulatory Affairs, Market Access project manager and Medical Advisor and many short-term projects in regulatory affairs, medical affairs and market access.

She worked on a number of pricing and reimbursement applications for a huge range of human medicinal products and contributed significantly to the launch of several orphan drugs.

She has extensive experience in the area of oncology, hematology, nephrology, infectious diseases, transplantation, dermatology, cardiovascular, respiratory, urology, cardiology, diabetes, psychiatry, endocrinology, metabolic disorders, immunology and pain.
